SYNERGY’s aluminum truss is welded with high strength aluminum alloy material 6061-T6 or 6082-T6. Because aluminum itself is a comparatively active metal component, it is easy to react with external acid and alkali.It means if it is exposed in wet environment or somewhere not suitable for a long time, the aluminum component will react and cause the damages.

In order to provide the stability of the performance of aluminum truss, SYNEGY has taken the action for dealing with these potential issues, which frankly for the improvement in acid and alkali resistance of the aluminum alloy truss. The surface of the aluminum truss was oxidized with an oxide film, which prevented the corrosion of external materials on the aluminum truss. 

In order to overcome the defects of surface hardness and wear resistance of aluminum alloy and prolong its service life, surface treatment technology is an indispensable part in the use of aluminum alloy. Metal oxide films change the surface state and performances, such as surface coloring, improving corrosion resistance, enhancing wear resistance and hardness, protecting the surface and so on.

For example, aluminum alloy is anodized by putting aluminum alloy in corresponding electrolyte (such as sulfuric acid, chromic acid, oxalic acid, etc.) as an anode, which is electrolyzed under specific conditions and under the action of applied current. The aluminum or its alloys of the anode are oxidized forming with a thin layer of alumina on the surface. Its thickness is between 5mm to 20mm. As a result, the hardness and wear resistance of the anodized aluminum or alloys are improved.
